AO1: : Develop ideas through sustained and focused investigations informed by contextual and other sources, demonstrating analytical and critical understanding.

(Here you will discuss how you developed your work based on your research of e.g. artists/photographers, etc).

my work has developed in many ways throughout the topic, this is shown through the variation of my image taking and my way of editing my work. My worked has developed due to my research of selected artists. Within this Shoot, my influences were Shannon Hartigan, Stefan Hefele and Chris Collacott, by studying these artists and their work, i learnt how to capture a panorama as well as how to create my panoramas digitally, on Photoshop. By studying these separate artists, i was given a more unique view on landscapes and the topic of the sky, and that there are many ways to capture the topic, while using different techniques like stretch panoramas which literally give a broader view of the landscape and the sky.

AO2: Explore and select appropriate resources, media, materials, techniques and processes, reviewing and refining ideas as work develops

all images were taken with a NIKON D3300

camera settings for each image used are below:

first column is the image, second  shutter speed, third aperture and fourth is ISO.

this editing process was the same for all my final images, the only difference is that they varied in number of original images.

  AO3:
Record ideas, observations and insights relevant to intentions, reflecting critically on work and progress.

Reflect critically on your work and progress, (evaluate the images you have produced in what way do the images link to your initial plans/the exam paper…

I feel i have created a fairly strong set of images, that both link to my original plans and my research, as my plans were to create my own panoramas by digitally stitching the individual images together using Adobe Photoshop, my edited images have clearly progressed throughout this section, as the later panoramas are smoother in terms of connecting the images, as my first images were not as smooth and the overlaps could be seen. I feel my images link to the exam paper as they literally give a broader view of the sky as well as the landscape beneath it, In order to get a better quality, it would've been better for me to set up my camera equipment on a flat surface, instead of sloping ground/ uneven grassland, as it made it difficult to actually line up my images, because as i was leaning on my camera to see through the view finder, i could feel my self moving the actual tripod on the ground.

AO4: Present a personal and meaningful response that realises intentions and, where appropriate, makes connections between visual and other elements.

(At the end of the entry you will discuss whether you have produced a personal and meaningful response, this means  (are my images creative/relevant to the subject area studied/connected and influenced by any research undertaken).

The concept behind this set of images is 'a broader perspective', the series is an attempt to show the different views of the sky through a broader medium, in this case, a panorama style, and the difference between a lone image and multiple placed together. I feel that this is a meaningful response that makes connections between the topic of the sky and my own ideas of capturing different perspectives, i feel that my images are creative and relevant to the subject area as they portray a different medium that isn't as widely explored within the aim of photographing the sky, i feel they also show a strong connection to my research influences as i used a style of photography that they are all well known for, yet i incorporated my own individuality within my images, this is due to the way i have organised my images. As my images progress, so does the time of day and location in which they were taken, the first image, the earliest of the day, and the last image was taken at the latest time of day.
